“S14-A6’s have done very well for us for the last 3 years. This year we had a good look at NK’s new S14-U9X by doing side by sides across a few fields. We saw a 3-4 bu per acre advantage with S14-U9X’s over the S14-A6’s. We will be growing more of these next year!”

All NK corn hybrids follow a standard naming convention, so you can identify key characteristics of our trait stacks at a glance.
Master brand: Agrisure
Brand suffix: Changes as new technologies are introduced.
Technology series: The first number in the trait name indicates the technology series.A “3” indicates the hybrid is glyphosate and glufosinate tolerant.A “5” indicates the Agrisure Duracade trait plus glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance.
Insect control traits: The next three numbers indicate how many modes of action are included in the trait stack to control each of the listed insects:
Broad lepidopteran
Corn borer
Rootworm
Artesian: An “A” indicates the presence of the Agrisure Artesian® water-optimizing technology to maximize yield when it rains, and increase yield up to 15 percent when it doesn’t.
E-Z Refuge®: Indicates products that contain five percent hybrid seed without insect control traits, simplifying refuge compliance as specified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for managing insect resistance.
Example: A hybrid with the Agrisure Viptera 3122A trait stack features glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance, one mode of action on broad lepidopterans, two modes of action on corn borer, and two modes of action on cornrootworm. The name also tells you that this hybrid has Agrisure Artesian technology and integrated single-bag refuge.
